Job Description

Fastenal India is looking for a Software Test Engineer. Individual will be responsible for unit testing of Applications which includes analyzing the code and flow/logic to validate.

Role Description

Individual will be responsible for White-box testing, functional testing of warehouse management applications which includes analyzing the code and flow/logic.

Individual will be responsible for developing manual test scripts.
Responsible for executing automated and manual test cases.
Responsible for tracking and logging defects during execution.
Generating reports such as defect analysis report, project status report, etc.
Actively participate in requirement analysis and test design.
Identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
Provide proactive advice and feedback throughout the software testing lifecycle for prevention and early correction of quality problem.
Document lessons learned, help maintain knowledge database

Required Skills:

• Should have good understanding of any program language is preferred (preferably C and C++).
• Should have good understanding of Linux commands
• Should be well versed with White box testing concepts and code understanding
• Have good understanding of Software testing lifecycle
• Should have expertise in various test development and design methodologies

Good to have:

• Experience on testing application on Linux based platforms
• Have experience in knowledge in analyzing programming languages
• Working knowledge on SQL/Toad
• Experience in Warehouse Management Domain is a plus

Good to have knowledge on Tools:

• JIRA
• Confluence
• Putty or any linux terminal/emulator
• BitBucket
• Git

Demonstrate relationship building and teamwork skills within all levels of the organization in a collaborative effort
must be adaptable in a changing environment and be effective in many different business settings
should be able to understand customer / end users requirements and should own the issue till closure.

Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related preferred
2-4 years of relevant experience
